Kara Van Horn, Benefits Associate

Kara is a Benefits Associate on our team, supporting all IBG clients in a variety of ways. Whether she’s helping employees get enrolled or assisting Account Managers with renewal preparations, she plays an important role across many aspects of our work! Kara joined IBG in the spring of 2026 and is the newest member of our team.

Prior to joining IBG, Kara attended the University of Utah, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She appreciated the variety in her coursework and is excited to apply her diverse skill set to support both her team and our clients.

Outside of IBG, Kara enjoys a variety of creative pursuits, including baking, cross-stitching, and sewing. She grew up in the Portland area and is thrilled to be back after graduation and spending more time with family. In other free time, she also enjoys rock climbing, most often at the gym, but whenever conditions allow, you might find her climbing outdoors.
